Hastelloy C22—also resists grain boundary precipitate formation in the heat-affected zones of welds, thus ensuring reliability in applications related to chemical processes, even in as-welded conditions. However, the service temperature should not be above 1250°F since there may be a phase formation issue beyond this range.
